HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT: Save $70 on StrikeZone

Hello StrikeZone Backers!
This is Bhupen, Founder of KoolBots and the chief designer of StrikeZone. On behalf of the KoolBots team, I want to thank you all so much for contributing to our campaign. As of this update we’ve grown to 250+ backers, and we’re only at the mid-way point of our campaign!
As we shift our focus into the second half of the campaign, we’ve been hard at work trying to grow our community and one request we’ve been seeing consistently has been to create a version of StrikeZone that has 3D fielders without the $199 price point. Well, after a lot of late nights, we’re so excited to announce our new flagship reward that’s similar to the Stadium Edition, but it will save you $70. Yes, you read that correctly: $70.00.
The new Collector’s Edition has everything in the Stadium Edition with the following modifications:
- All of the infielders and outfielders will be identical (instead of the 2 different designs).
- The catcher will be excluded (as it currently stands the catcher is purely an aesthetic component of the game, since the Strike Zone square marker helps to decide whether its a Strike or a Ball).
- The cap colors will be fixed to Red (for Batter) and Blue (for rest of the figures).
Why have we done this? These three small changes will have no direct effect on the gameplay experience but it will save you $70 and it will save us significant costs on manufacturing and shipping. It will also allow more potential backers who want the 3D fielder experience but cannot afford $199 to join us during this campaign.
If you would like to change your pledge to Collector's Edition, you can do so by:
Going to the Manage Your Pledge section of Kickstarter > click the blue “Change Your Pledge” button > select Collector’s Edition. You can also click the “Manage your pledge” button at the top of our campaign page.

Friday Fun with the StrikeZone – No Table Needed!

Thank you all for continuing to support the campaign. We’re getting closer to our first stretch goal and it’s all because of you!
To celebrate (and to answer a common question we’ve been hearing), we’re excited to share a new gameplay video that shows how StrikeZone can be played on the floor without any table. Yep – you read that right – for those of you able and interested in playing StrikeZone on the floor, we’ll show you how it’s done. Well, our kids will, because that’s how they prefer to play (we would need to do a full pre-game stretch). Check out the video below of our kids playing StrikeZone in our living room!

You Asked and We Heard You: The Three First StrikeZone Stretch Goals are Here!

The top question we’ve been getting here on KS and on social is “When are stretch goals coming?” and we’re so excited to share the first three tiers with our StrikeZone community.
For these first three, we wanted to keep cost, feasibility, and shipping top-of-mind so that we avoid some common mistakes by overpromising. We hope you’ll enjoy these fun but modest additions to our campaign that culminate in our $150K stretch goal of BASE RUNNERS.
That’s right, say goodbye to ghost runners! If we hit $150K, every backer ($99+) will receive 3x 2D Base Runners to use mid-game. Steals are now an official StrikeZone stat!
You’ll also have a chance to get extra StrikeZone gear and be permanently enshrined as inaugural members in the official StrikeZone Hall of Fame.
Once we crush those stretch goals we’ve got some REALLY exciting additions to further upgrade the StrikeZone experience, but first let’s get StrikeZone over the $150K hurdle!

More Goodies for StrikeZone Backers

We have been getting requests from many backers for adding following goodies as Stretch goals / Add-On. We have heard you and we would like to make it even better: Instead of adding them as Add-On or Stretch goal, we are getting rid of Stretch Goals all together, and instead will be including most of them as part of StrikeZone starting immediately.
In particular, all our backers will now receive following along with their StrikeZone:
- Backers name listed under Hall of Fame page on StrikeZone's website.
- Two additional mini Baseballs
- StrikeZone Catcher Net to stop the Ball when its a strike.
- All Star Coin
Also a friendly reminder for all our backers:
- If you backed the Original Edition ($99), we’d humbly suggest you consider Collector's Edition (incredible value add-on for only $30 more).
- If you backed the Stadium Edition ($199), we highly recommend saving $70 by changing your pledge to Collector's edition today.

Hey StrikeZone Backers! We hope you all had a great weekend and a wonderful Mother’s Day in the US.
We’ve got a quick update to share that all StrikeZone orders now come with a 1 year manufacturer’s warranty!
That’s right, should anything happen to your StrikeZone on the quest for strikeout glory - that’s the fault of manufacturing - we’ll replace it within the first year.
While we don’t have any reason to expect any issues, we know some of you might hit and pitch a bit harder than others, so we want to assure you that we’ve got your back and we’ll rehab your Pitcher or Batter immediately!
